After a few minutes, I realized she was being very quiet.
Too quiet.
I didn't think she could reach the bag of ribbon I'd left on the bed.
Apparently she could.
And she was happy.
....and quiet.

The next day, I left Jane in HER bed with some toys while I was in the bathroom getting ready for the day.
After a couple minutes I realized she was too quiet... again.
"What could she possibly be doing? There isn't anything for her to get into!"
I found that she had pulled down the mobile that hangs over her bed. I had a piece of paper attached to the wall with a verse on it so I could read it to her as I put her down to sleep. She was eating it.
Her mouth was all blue from the ink.
And she was very happy.
And quiet.

she was rebelling against wearing too-big bows! "haha I will ruin all her supplies, and she can NEVER inflict them on me again!!!" I tell you, I have insight into her mind! :)
