So she can open doors now! I put her in her room with the door closed a couple days ago so that I could run a load of laundry down to the basement and when I came back up she was walking around in the living room. I thought, "Hmmm... she either knows how to get out now, or I didn't close the door all the way." Aaron th...ought I must not have shut the door all the way.
Well today I watched her do it, and even caught it on video. Smart little thing. Now I have to put up the gate to ensure that she is safely confined!

Five Years
Today is the five year anniversary of the day when Aaron and I entered into a betrothal covenant. Five years ago, he told me he loved me for the first time, and we pledged our lives to each other... until death do us part.
A Covenant of Betrothal
between
Aaron Lee Montgomery & Jenny M’Liss Stevens
"Whereas the Parents of Aaron and Jenny have been guided through the Spirit of Almighty God in establishing the union of two lives into one holy joining. And whereas our common goal is to magnify and lift up the One who is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
We pronounce this Covenant of Betrothal. This Covenant is an earthly institution of God’s design, that a man and a woman should become one, and that this union be guided by the Holy Spirit through earthy parents under the direction and will of our Lord Jesus Christ. This betrothal then shall ultimately lead these two willingly under the wedding canopy to live as one flesh. This is the design set forth in scripture and we pledge our hope and set our eyes on this purpose.
For this reason this covenant is sealed by the earnest prayers and the adoring love of the parents of Aaron and Jenny. We therefore lift our hearts in one accord to proclaim to all who see and hear that on this day, Saturday, April the 23rd, 2005, that our son Aaron and our daughter Jenny are betrothed, one to another until death or the Lord’s return.
To this we ascribe our names and our sacred vows."
“With great anticipation and eager willingness for the glory of GOD, we pledge our lives to each other and agree to this betrothal covenant.”

Last ultrasound
We had an ultrasound yesterday because our midwife was concerned that Baby was measuring a little small. Praise God that everything looked normal and healthy... he's just a little smaller than Jane was at this age!
We're in the final countdown!! Hard to believe we'll have another baby to hold within a couple of weeks!

Entertainment in a cup
Yes, those are little hair clips in the plastic cups pictured above. This is one of Jane's favorite things to play with. She is entertained for a very long time by picking up each clip and putting them all into the different cups. Then walking to a different spot of the house, sitting down, rearranging her cups and clips, dumping them out, putting them all back one by one and doing it all over again. She also loves little containers with lids, so she can take the lid on and off, put things in and take things out, and shake it up and try it with one inside, or two or ten... cheerios, hair clips, coins, anything small she can find. It makes me wonder if she'll like to organize things when she gets older... When I mentioned this to her Nana, her response was, "Or maybe she'll be a pack rat!"

The Fine Art of Toilet Scooting
Jane is not allowed to stand up when we set her on her little potty...(until we say she is all done) Ah... but she is a conniving, smart little thing and so this is her way of "getting around" the rules!!
